Our story

Three generations on the slopes of Acatenango.

In 1954 Clemente Lantan and Ángela Vela acquired the farm known today as "El General". Their daughter Verónica Lantan de Acajabon and her son Sergio founded Cafetoland to sell that coffee directly, with a commercial office and warehouse in Taiwan.

The farm sits between the Fuego and Acatenango volcanoes, whose ash keeps the sandy soils rich in minerals. Coffee grows under grevillea and avocado shade, with pericón, oregano and chile as natural repellents. El General is a member of ANACAFE and Women in Coffee.
